"Today, Poland is on the frontline of the cyber fight against Russia," Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said at a press conference on June 3.
“Poland considered Ukraine's request for training, but we came to the conclusion that it would be both safer and more effective to train a Ukrainian unit formed of Ukrainians in Poland who are subject to conscription into the Ukrainian army,” Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said.
Earlier on May 31, messages appeared on the Polish Press Agency's website saying that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk had ordered a "partial mobilization" to begin on July 1.
Representatives of Finland, Canada, and Poland issued separate statements on May 29 saying Ukraine can use their weapons to strike targets on Russian territory.
The announcement came after a Polish soldier was left in critical condition after being stabbed through the border fence with a makeshift spear the previous day.

"We should not rule out any option. Let (Russian President Vladimir) Putin guess what we will do," Sikorski said in answer to Gazeta Wyborcza's question about the possibility of sending Polish troops to Ukraine.
"The war in Ukraine has shown how important it is to be able to hit targets located even very far from the front line," the Polish Defense Ministry said.
"We hope that the Russian Federation will treat this as a very serious warning," Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said.
"The Americans have told the Russians that if you explode a nuke, even if it doesn't kill anybody, we will hit all your targets (positions) in Ukraine with conventional weapons, we’ll destroy all of them," Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski told the Guardian.

The Polish media outlet RMF24 later added that the man was not in uniform and unarmed, but that military documents were found indicating he had fought in Ukraine.
