General Staff: Russia has lost 44,700 troops in Ukraine since Feb. 24

Ukraine’s General Staff reported on Aug. 19 that Russia had also lost 1,899 tanks, 4,195 armored fighting vehicles, 1,016 artillery systems, 266 multiple launch rocket systems, 141 air defense systems, 197 helicopters, 234 airplanes, 795 drones, and 15 boats.

The two leaders began their meeting at the U.S. military Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage at around 11:30 a.m. local time.
