According to Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov, Russians shelled the village of Pechenihy on the night and morning of June 23. The attack destroyed multiple houses, he added.

The Tomahawk's range would open up great swathes of Russia to Ukrainian long-range missile strikes, most notably Moscow and St. Petersburg.
