Zelensky: Russia has fired more than 2,000 missiles at Ukraine.

Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR) has concluded that Russian warships are effectively confined to the port of Novorossiysk on the southeastern Black Sea due to Ukrainian drone strikes, Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Agricultural Minister Taras Vysotskyi said attacks on logistics infrastructure could affect the range of goods available in stores, but assured that there is no risk of Ukrainians running out of food.

The Khortytsia Distillery, launched in 2003 by Global Spirits, a Ukrainian firm headquartered in the U.S., was hit four times, sparking a three-hour-long fire, the company’s press service said.

Oleksandr Shyrshyn, a former battalion commander in Ukraine's 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, said on Facebook on Aug. 28 that cannabis had been planted in his car in an apparent attempt to implicate him in the illegal production and possession of drugs.

The capital saw eight more air raid alerts by the morning of Aug. 28 as Russian forces continued attacking Kyiv and the surrounding areas overnight.

Russia launched 164 Shahed-type drones against Ukraine, half of them jet-powered, overnight on Aug. 28, according to the Air Force. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 137 drones, while strikes were recorded at 16 locations and drone debris fell at four others.

Later in the morning, Ukraine's Air Force announced that seven Russian Iskander-M or North Korean-built KN-23 ballistic missiles had been shot down.

The target of the attack was the Slavneft-YANOS refinery, one of Russia's largest oil processing facilities, the General Staff said, adding that damage to the refinery was still being assessed.

The figure includes 1,630 casualties that Russian forces suffered over the past day.

"I am not concerned ... at all. There is no problem," Trump told Axios when asked about a possible Russian provocation against NATO countries.

The Wrocław City Council adopted a resolution condemning hatred and violence based on nationality following a series of incidents involving Ukrainians in the city, Polish media reported on Aug. 27.

With Russia continuing to wage an unprecedented campaign against Ukrainian businesses, Ukraine’s Economy Ministry has downgraded its forecast for the country’s economic growth this year from 1.3% to 0.5%, as Moscow targets key industries such as steel production, e-commerce, and ports.

"Just days ago, the President of Moldova was with us in Ukraine on our Independence Day. Today, Ukraine stands with Moldova on its Independence Day. Friends should stand shoulder to shoulder," Zelensky said.
