Dutch government instructs firms not to pay for Russian gas in rubles.

The Netherlands has instructed energy companies in the country not to pay for Russian gas in rubles following EU sanctions, spokesperson for the economics ministry Pieter ten Bruggencate told CNN. The Dutch government previously made clear that payments in rubles would violate sanctions, he added.
