Prosecutor General’s Office: Russian forces committed over 28,000 war crimes

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office reported on Aug. 13 that 28,231 war crimes have been committed by Russian forces in Ukraine since the start of the war. Ukrainian law enforcement has also recorded 13,181 crimes against Ukraine’s national security.

"It is evident that the Russian side will cynically use this political and legal episode to justify the occupation of Crimea and the exploitation of Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territory by Russian citizens," Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi told media.
