Russia has killed 263 children in Ukraine, wounded more than 467 since Feb. 24.

On June 3, an 8-year-old boy was killed in a mine explosion on the beach in Mariupol. The figures are expected to be higher since they do not include child casualties in the areas where hostilities are ongoing and in the occupied areas, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

In December 2023, Hlib Benia, a Ukrainian soldier with the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade, was delivering supplies to his comrades when Russian FPV (first-person view) drones struck. Two of his fellow soldiers were killed. He survived but lost an arm and a leg.
