Putin continues to spread lies defending war, shows no signs of backing down.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken at Russia's annual Victory Day parade in Moscow, saying the invasion of Ukraine was necessary "as the West was creating threats next to our borders." He added that Russia was fighting for "the Motherland" in Donbas, a drastic drop in goals compared to the Feb. 24 speech in which he announced an all-out war.
