General Staff: Ukraine repels Russian attacks near 25 settlements in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts

Ukraine expects Russia to face a nearly $100 billion budget deficit by next year, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Oct. 19, underscoring Moscow's growing economic challenges amid the war.

Russia has previously rejected freezing the war along the current front lines while reportedly demanding that Ukraine cede the entire Donetsk Oblast.

According to Zelensky, the proposed contract for 25 Patriot systems would be carried out over several years, "with different quantities each year."
