At 10 a.m. on Aug. 8, Russia launched four Kalibr cruise missiles into Ukraine, each was shot down by Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units in Odesa Oblast and central Ukraine. Earlier on Aug. 2, Ukrainian Air Force destroyed Russian missiles worth $91 million.
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of Russia’s largest oil refining and petrochemical plants. It is based in the Bashkortostan Republic, some 1,300 kilometers (800 miles) from the front line in Ukraine.
