The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported on Sept. 30 that Russia had lost 278,130 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on Feb. 24 last year.
This number includes 470 casualties Russian forces suffered just over the past day.
According to the report, Russia has also lost 4,691 tanks, 8,984 armored vehicles, 6,447 artillery systems, 796 MLRS, 537 air defense systems, 315 planes and 316 helicopters.
The measures target five companies and one individual based in Iran, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, allegedly involved in sourcing sensitive technology for the Iranian Aviation Manufacturing Company (HESA).
The news coincides with Donald Trump's announcement of a 25% tariff on India starting on Aug. 1.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city's military administration, said that as of the morning of Aug. 1, the Russian attack had killed 31 people. At around 10:40 a.m. local time, rescuers recovered three more bodies.
Trump said he found Russia's latest attacks against Ukraine "disgusting" and said the Kremlin has "about eight days" to make a deal or face sanctions.
Russian forces launched 72 Shahed-type drones from Russia's Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk airfields against Ukraine overnight, according to Ukraine's Air Force.
"The situation in Chasiv Yar is the same as in recent months. Russia is simply lying again, precisely so that the claim spreads through refutations," said Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson of the Khortytsia group of forces, in a comment for the RBK-Ukraine news agency.

The group is using an "adversary-in-the-middle" technique to deploy its custom "ApolloShadow" malware for intelligence collection. This campaign, active since at least 2024, poses a high risk to diplomatic entities and sensitive organizations in Moscow, particularly those relying on local internet providers.

A total of 12 children were injured, in what Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said was the highest number of child casualties in the city since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
If formalized, Nicaragua could become the first country to officially recognize Russia's annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts — territories Moscow declared part of Russia in 2022.
