Russian troops are also trying to seize Rubizhne and Popasna in the same region, the General Staff said on April 23. It added that Russia had not had any military successes in the town of Maryinka in Donetsk Oblast and on other parts of the front.

Ukrainian forces downed 48 out of the 75 drones, including Shahed-type attack drones, launched by Russia overnight, the Air Force reported. Twenty-six drones struck six different locations, according to the statement.
