European Parliament calls for immediate embargo on Russian oil, gas, coal, nuclear fuel.

The European Parliament adopted a resolution on April 7 calling for additional punitive measures against Russia such as a special U.N. tribunal for war crimes in Ukraine, excluding Russia from the G20 and other multilateral organizations. It also urged the EU to step up the delivery of weapons to Ukraine.

A U.K. government press statement describes the decision to facilitate Tokyo and Seoul's continued import of fossil fuels as "part of the U.K.'s work with international partners to support their transition away from Russian energy," without elaborating how.

"Russia attacks Ukrainian ports, blocks Ukraine's grain exports, and then looks for new routes for its own grain," Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said on X. "Estonia will not provide one."
