According to Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov, an 11-year-old boy was wounded in Kupiansk, and a 65-year-old woman was hospitalized with injuries in the Chuhuiv district of the oblast. The official added that six civilians were blown up by mines on Sept. 19. All of them were hospitalized.

President Volodymyr Zelensky on Aug. 17 appointed Yurii Pohrybnyi as commander of the Logistics Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces, according to a presidential decree.

Russia's security service (FSB) blackmailed prominent Ukrainian volunteer Mykhailo Puryshev into cooperation, threatening to conscript his son into the Russian army, he claimed on Aug. 17.
