Germany says Putin agreed to keep gas payments in euros.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that money would be paid into Gazprom Bank, which is not currently subject to sanctions, and then transferred to rubles in Russia, according to Berlin statement.

Following Scholz-Putin phone call, Germany's government announced that it has received assurances that European companies could continue paying for gas in euros or dollars.
