Russian officials said a fire broke out on a port embankment in Sochi as a result of a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel (USV) strike. The attack reportedly disrupted a nearby concert.
Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) carried out Kyiv's deepest strike into Russia so far in the full-scale war, attacking a natural gas facility 3,200 kilometers (1,988 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
Ukrainian drones also struck a launch and storage site for strike drones in Russia's Kursk Oblast and "a target" in the Black Sea, he added without providing further details.

The announcement comes as Ukraine prepares for the upcoming winter, following the harrowing winter months of 2025-2026, when Russia hammered the country's power grid with constant attacks.
The joint venture was established between the German-American defense company Auterion and the Ukrainian drone producer Airlogix in February 2026 at the Munich Security Conference.
"Ramping up production, even if you have a license, is something that takes multiple years," Rubio cautioned, saying a Patriot license "won't solve the short-term challenge" for Ukraine.
