Russia threatens to deploy nuclear weapons in the Baltic if Sweden, Finland join NATO.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, said that if Sweden and Finland join the alliance Russia would have to strengthen its defenses in the region and adding that “there can be no more talk of any nuclear-free status for the Baltic."
