Netherlands ready to support EU candidate status for Ukraine.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte called the European Commission's recommendation a "reasonable compromise," adding that both supporters and opponents of Ukraine's candidacy can agree with this conclusion. The European Commission on June 17 recommended giving Ukraine official candidate status to join the bloc, saying reforms, including anti-corruption, must follow.
