The intelligence assistance comes as the White House announced it would send $800 million in additional weapons to Ukraine to help it fight Russian offenses in eastern Ukraine that is expected in the upcoming days.

"Three additional settlements in the area have been fully cleared of Russian troops, while fighting continues for several more," the statement read.
