Ukraine's air defense destroys 4 Russian missiles launched from Caspian Sea.

Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said on Nov. 2 that the strike would have "long-term consequences" for Russia.

The facility was struck shortly before 8 p.m. local time, according to footage posted to social media. The Kyiv Independent could not verify these reports at the time of publication.

Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken said on Nov. 1 that the drones had come to "spy" on F-16 fighter jets and ammunition.

"We have strengthened the 'Patriot' component of our Ukrainian air defense. I thank Germany and personally Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz for this joint step to protect human lives from Russian terror."

According to Reuters' industry sources, the shift marks a notable change for Turkey — one of the main buyers of Russian oil, alongside India and China.

Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in Russian missile and drone strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the Ukrainian military said on Nov. 2.

"Hypothetically speaking, (a meeting) is possible, but at this point there is no need for it," Peskov told the Russian state news agency TASS.
