Maksym Zhorin, a former commander of Ukraine’s Azov National Guard regiment, said on June 12 that 220 of those killed at the steel plant have been sent to Kyiv, but “just as many bodies” are awaiting retrieval. Independent journalism needs a community —
not a paywall.

Our goal: reach 20,000 members to prove independent journalism can survive without paywalls, billionaires, or compromise. Will you help us do it?

Can we reach 20,000 members?
