Russia shuts down Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

The Russian offices of the organizations, along with 13 others, had their registration revoked due to "violations of the current legislation of the Russian Federation." No details were outlined as to why the organizations were shut down, but several days prior HRW announced it had found cases of Russian military forces committing war crimes.
