The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported on Feb. 12 that Russia has lost 137,780 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on Feb. 24, with some 900 lost over the previous day alone.
Russia has also lost 3,280 tanks, 6,488 armored fighting vehicles, 5,148 vehicles and fuel tanks, 2,287 artillery systems, 465 multiple launch rocket systems, 234 air defense systems, 296 airplanes, 286 helicopters, 2,007 drones, and 18 boats.
The news comes as the U.S. president is set to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin for a high-level summit on Aug. 15 in Alaska to discuss ways toward ending the war in Ukraine.
"For more than 35 years, Armenia and Azerbaijan have fought a bitter conflict that resulted in tremendous suffering for both nations… Many tried to find a resolution… and they were unsuccessful. With this accord, we’ve finally succeeded in making peace," U.S. President Donald Trump said.

At the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, foreigners flocked to Ukraine to join its defense against Russian forces. More than three years later, the foreign fighters who remain are a different breed — driven by a deep commitment to Ukraine.
