Despite previous news reports suggesting China was preparing to aid Russia in its war against Ukraine, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi insisted that his country was "not a party" to the war during a phone call with Spanish counterpart José Manuel Albares, according to Chinese state press agency Xinhua.
