The Kyiv Independent's War Crimes Investigations Unit has released the first part of a new two-part documentary, "Crimea: The War Before the War."

"(Ukraine) needs more missiles, more air defense," Volodymyr Zelensky said, adding that aside from U.S.-produced Patriot PAC-3 missiles used against Russian ballistic missiles — whose numbers have increased significantly — "nothing else works."

"Undoubtedly, I choose Ukraine in this case, rather than the economic forum, but everything can change at any moment," President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

At least one person in Kyiv has been injured, local authorities reported. Ukraine's Air Force has warned that Russian ballistic missiles are targeting multiple regions, including the capital.

Zelensky said Ukrainian diplomats are reviewing the invitation but stressed it would be "difficult to imagine" sitting at the body alongside Russia and Belarus, who were also invited.

The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund is reportedly set to meet U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to discuss Washington's peace plan for Ukraine.

Moscow is currently studying the proposal, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters, according to state news agency TASS.

Moldova is in the process of formalizing its exit from the Russian-led Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi told Radio Moldova on Jan. 19.

"We will find every Russian murderer," President Volodymyr Zelensky said after announcing the arrest. The Russian soldier allegedly shot nine Ukrainian POWs in Kursk Oblast in October 2024.

Ukrainian forces successfully attacked a drone warehouse belonging to Russia's 144th Motorized Rifle Division in Novokrasnianka, occupied Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine's General Staff reported.

"In the coming days we must remain extremely vigilant. Russia has prepared for a strike — a massive strike — and is waiting for the moment to carry it out," President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Jan. 19.
