A Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast killed three people and injured three others, local authorities reported the morning of Sept. 21.
A 12-year-old boy was killed in the attack, regional Governor Serhii Lysak said. The strike also killed two women, aged 75 and 79.
Three more people were injured, including a 17-year-old boy and two men aged 31 and 50. They are all hospitalized in moderate condition, Lysak said.
A Russian missile struck a residential neighborhood in Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, the city's military administration head, reported in the early hours of Sept. 21. About an hour earlier, the Air Force warned that a ballistic missile was likely headed for the city.
Two houses caught fire following the strike, Lysak said. The attack destroyed two homes and damaged over two dozen others. The attack also damaged a school, garages, and cars.
The full consequences are still being investigated and emergency services are still working at the site.
Kryvyi Rih, with a population of around 660,000, is the second most populous city in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It has suffered multiple deadly attacks by Russian forces since the outbreak of the full-scale war.
