According to newly declassified American intelligence, North Korea is selling artillery shells and rockets by the millions to Russia, the New York Times reports. Together with Iran’s shipment of drones to Russia, U.S. officials consider both moves as signs that sanctions are affecting Russia’s ability to obtain arms.
"A large number of Russian drones entered Polish airspace — this is an empirical fact that does not require belief," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said.
"Priorities include Russia’s banking sector, banks in third countries that continue trading with Russia, and the 'shadow fleet' infrastructure that funds Russia’s war budget," President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
The measures, requested by the Polish Armed Forces' operational command, will remain in effect until Dec. 9.
"Last night, Poland's airspace was breached 19 times by drones manufactured in Russia. The assessment of Polish and NATO air forces is that they did not veer off course, but were deliberately targeted," Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said in a video statement.
"We are dealing with a direct technological race in which the advantage will go to those who not only modernize but also stay ahead," Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said.
"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead," U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on social media, confirming Kirk's death.
"We will also discuss increasing pressure on Russia, sanctions, and the importance of lasting peace," Ukraine's Presidential Office Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak said.
Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 62 of the 66 Shahed-type and other drones launched by Russia overnight, the Air Force reported.
The Polish Foreign Ministry did not specify the timing of the meeting, which will take place at Poland's request.
Communications were disabled after a strike on an air defense factory in the Russian city of Tula, the pro-Ukrainian Atesh partisan group claimed.
While the Ukraine provision faced pushback, a proposal by Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene to eliminate aid was rejected with bipartisan opposition.
The Project MPSV07 ship was tracked and hit while carrying out reconnaissance and patrolling Novorossiysk Bay near Russia's Krasnodar Krai, where the Black Sea Fleet is currently based, according to HUR.
"According to our teams on the ground, these were unusually large-scale military activities close to these two nuclear power plants, which should never happen," IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said.
The number includes 890 casualties that Russian forces suffered over the past day.
