Observers report that Russia's military vehicles near Ukraine's borders are now moving on their own, instead of being transported by the railroad. The CIT alleges that it means that the vehicles are taking up attack positions.

Ukraine also targeted a Russian ammunition depot and a troop position in the Russian-occupied part of Donetsk Oblast overnight on March 1.
