Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Russian forces had stopped an attempted landing by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group on the Kinburn Spit.
An amphibious special forces group landed on Tendra Spit overnight and destroyed Russian armored vehicles, namely MT-LB amphibious personnel carriers, as well as electronic warfare systems and fortifications, HUR reported.

Roman Chervinskyi previously served in Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR). He was indicted by the State Security Service (SBU) in April 2023 for abuse of power. According to SBU officials, Chervinskyi, along with others in the HUR, tried to hijack a Russian Air Force aircraft whose pilot was allegedly planning to defect to Ukraine.
"The cyberattack was aimed at destroying internal information of companies that serve Russian public sector clients involved in the war against Ukraine," HUR said in a post on Telegram.
The Ukrainian ex-intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky was released on bail on July 15 for Hr 9 million ($219,450) following his arrest in April 2023, Suspilne news outlet reported.
