Russia attacks Luhansk Oblast with artillery and air strikes, destroys civilian infrastructure

The overnight drone attack comes shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose new tariffs on Russia within 10 days unless the Kremlin agrees to halt its full-scale war against Ukraine.

Fifteen minors have been convicted of political charges in Belarus thus far in 2025, including for insulting Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, according to data released by the country's Supreme Court on July 29.

An 8.8 magnitude earthquake near the Russian peninsula of Kamchatka on July 30 triggered tsunami waves in Russia's Far East, prompting evacuations in Japan and Hawaii and warnings across the Pacific Ocean.

The unidentified drone entered Lithuanian airspace on the morning of July 28 and the search for it has now entered its third day.
