Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Ruslan Strilets said that about three million hectares of forests have suffered damage as a result of Russian bombardment and mine explosions. According to the official, the cost of harm to the forests and flora is estimated at around Hr 183 billion ($5 billion).

The claim appears to conflict with President Volodymyr Zelensky's earlier statement that Kyiv agreed to Washington's request for assistance in protecting U.S. military bases in Jordan.
"The Trump administration cannot simultaneously claim to be prioritizing U.S. military operations while offering sanctions relief to (Russian President Vladimir) Putin," the letter reads.
The EU-sanctioned tanker Sea Owl I was boarded near Trelleborg, the Swedish Coast Guard said.
"We identified steps and specific decisions that can deliver strong results. This concerns both air defense and combat aviation," Zelensky said on X.
