Reuters: IMF to discuss emergency funding to countries amid food price shocks due to war

According to Reuters, the plan under consideration could allow the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to draw an emergency fund for Ukraine and other countries affected by Russia's war without imposing conditions that would normally be required in a regular fund program. The plan will be discussed at an informal executive board meeting on Sept. 12, Reuters reported.

Russia attacked the city of Khmelnytskyi overnight on April 1, damaging a commercial site and a residential building was damaged by shelling in Lutsk, authorities and media reported.

Such actions are "not indicative of a broader shift in the U.S. Russia policy," a U.S. Treasury spokesperson told the Kyiv Independent, adding that OFAC regularly updates its sanctions list by adding or removing individuals and entities.
