Russian warships shell Ukrainian coast in Odesa Oblast.

Two people have been injured, according to Odesa authorities. Satellite images showed 14 ships of the Russian fleet sailing towards the city of Odesa on March 15, among them a 120-meter landing ship Pyotr Morgunov of Russia's northern fleet.

Ukraine extends martial law for another month.

The Verkhovna Rada has prolonged the martial law until April 25, from the initial end date of March 26. Lawmakers also approved a package of 21 bills related to the martial law and the war.

Joint Forces Commander to lead Kyiv Oblast defense.

Zelensky appoints Commander Oleksandr Pavlyuk as head of Kyiv Oblast Regional Military Administration. Governor Oleksiy Kuleba will assist the military leadership, while Eduard Moskalyov will replace Pavlyuk as the head of Ukraine's military in Donbas.

Verkhovna Rada kicks lawmaker Kiva out of parliament.

Ex-lawmaker Ilya Kiva, from the pro-Kremlin Opposition Platform-For Life party, has been charged with high treason by the General Prosecutor's Office for supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Several lawmakers from the same party are contemplating leaving parliament, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

Klitschko: 4 people killed in Kyiv by Russian airstrike.

A Russian airstrike hit a 16-story residential building in Kyiv's western Sviatoshynskyi district. As a result of shelling, a fire broke out in the premises. Russian shells also hit a residential building in the Podilskyi district, a house in Osokorki, and the Lukyanivska metro station.

Russia’s war kills 97 Ukrainian children.

Over 100 children have been injured since Russia launched its all-out invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, Prosecutor General’s Office reported. At least five children die under shelling every day.

Ukraine’s military intelligence: Russia plans mass logging of Ukrainian forests.

Ukraine’s military intelligence published a letter allegedly written by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu asking for Russian President Vladimir Putin's permission to start mass logging of Ukrainian forests. The wood would be sold, and the money would go for the Russian army. “All forests in the temporarily occupied territories are at the highest risk,” Ukraine’s intelligence said.

Local authorities cry for help in Izium, saying there's humanitarian crisis.

Volodymyr Matsokin, deputy mayor of Izium, said that residents were left without electricity, water, medicine, and food. The city in Kharkiv Oblast has been under siege for two weeks. According to local deputy Max Strel, Russians have been blocking humanitarian aid delivery and evacuation of civilians for the last three days.

Two missiles hit the Dnipro airport on the night of March 15, destroying a runway and damaging a terminal, according to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Valentyn Reznichenko.

Polish, Czech, Slovenian prime ministers to visit Kyiv on March 15.

Poland's Mateusz Moravetsky, Czech Republic's Petr Fiala, and Slovenia's Janez Jansa will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. “The purpose of the visit is to confirm the unequivocal support of the entire European Union for the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and to present a broad package of support for the Ukrainian state and society.”

Ukrzaliznytsia to nationalize Russian freight wagons in Ukraine.

According to Oleksandr Kamyshin, the acting head of the state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia, there are currently 15,000 Russian freight wagons in Ukraine. Ukrzaliznytsia plans to nationalize them under the recently adopted law allowing the seizure of Russian property in Ukraine.

Four people killed following Russian attack in Rubizhne.

Serhiy Haidai, the governor of Luhansk Oblast, said on March 15 that Russian forces destroyed three school buildings along with a boarding school for visually impaired children and a hospital in Rubizhne, a city in Luhansk Oblast.

Russia's crude exports fall to lowest level since February.

Seaborne crude flows averaged 3.12 million barrels a day over the four weeks to July 6, a 3% decline from the previous period ending June 29, according to tanker-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg. That's the lowest level recorded since the four-week period ending Feb. 23.
