The United States has identified at least 18 camps set up by Russia to deport Ukrainian civilians to Russia, reports The New York Times, citing a U.S. diplomat. According to the official, Moscow appeared to have made preparations for the filtration camps even before it invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24.
The European Union aims to impose a 20th sanctions package against Russia on Feb. 24, the day marking the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas told reporters on Jan. 29.
