In an update on May 26, the U.S. Defense Department said that 110 Russian battalion tactical groups have been deployed in Ukraine, but Russian forces have only made “small gains.” Overwhelming progress by Ukrainian forces, especially near Kharkiv, have reportedly offset Russian gains.
Units of Ukraine's 425th Skelya Regiment liberated the village of Filia in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a military spokesperson said. Russia claimed control of the settlement on Aug. 24.
