Dr. Myers is a psychotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience, a former tenured professor of psychiatry at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and a past visiting researcher at Heidelberg University (Germany) and Lviv National Medical University (Ukraine). His work bridges psychological theory and cultural trauma, with a particular focus on how individuals and nations process pain, identity, and recovery. Myers has recently been involved in dialogue and rehabilitation support with Ukrainian veterans through the U.S.-based non-profit Limbs for Liberty.
