Yelyzaveta Bashcheva is a social media manager at the Kyiv Independent. Before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Yelyzaveta moved from Kyiv to Utrecht, the Netherlands, where she completed her Master's degree in Gender Studies. She then worked for two years at the Amsterdam-based NGO 'In Touch' as a project manager, co-leading EU-sponsored international projects focused on diversity and social inclusion. She is currently based in Turin, Italy.
