Erik Uszkiewicz is the vice-chairperson of the Hungarian Europe Society, a Budapest-based think tank, and a project manager at the Center for Independent Journalism, Budapest. He is a lawyer who earned his law degree in 2011 and his Ph.D. in 2022. He is involved in both domestic and international research projects related to media freedom, freedom of expression, countering disinformation, as well as the state of liberal democracies in Europe.
