Hennadiy Lahuta, the governor of Kherson Oblast, said on June 20 that 450,000-500,000 residents remain in the occupied Kherson Oblast, which is about 50% of its population. According to Lahuta, Russian occupiers hold captive more than 600 locals, including activists, war veterans, and people opposing the Russian occupation.
